AQUITEST for Windows
Pumping Test Analysis Program
Order No: TPS 58

AQUITEST for Windows is a versatile, easy-to-use, graphically-oriented pumping test and analysis software package for the estimation of transmissivity, hydraulic conductivity, and storage properties for a variety of aquifer types. The program contains analytical solutions for confined, unconfined and leaky confined aquifers, including Theis, Cooper-Jacob, Neuman, Hantush/Walton, Hvorslev, well-performance tests, step-test analysis, and recovery analysis. AQUITEST allows direct data input with instructional pop-up windows, or by importing data files directly from data loggers (ASCII files) or spreadsheets.

The analysis of pumping test data can be conducted using either time-drawdown or distance-drawdown curves. AQUITEST can also correct unconfined aquifer data using Jacob's correction. Alternatively, the more accurate Neuman method can be used for unconfined solutions.

The parameters are obtained by matching type curves (Theis, Neuman, Hantush, Walton), or by fitting straight lines. (Cooper- Jacob, Hvorslev) to the drawdown data points. For the straight line solutions, a regression method achieves an automatic fit to the data, while interactive, on-screen curve matching is used for the type curve methods. Faulty data points can be removed from the analysis by a simple mouse click.

AQUITEST is a fully-integrated Windows application with intuitive icons and extensive, context-sensitive help. A logbook keeps track of potential errors and provides warnings and information on problems with the analysis and the data. AQUITEST for Windows produces high quality output, incluidng report quality tables and graphs. Graphs can be copied to the Windows clipboard for inclusion in documents or other applications.
