HYDROGEOLOGIST SOUGHT

Pacific Groundwater Group of Seattle, Washington seeks to hire a hydrogeologist with Masters degree to 5 years of experience. Our projects range from regional hydrologic characterizations to water supply development projects to remedial investigations of contaminated sites. Because of our size and strong reputation we generally are able to choose projects that are interesting and offer technical challenges.

We are looking for someone to join our team who has most of the following:

• Masters degree in hydrogeology, hydrology or closely-related field with focus on groundwater
• Strong writing ability
• Thorough knowledge of groundwater theory and well hydraulics
• Theoretical and applied understanding of groundwater flow and contaminant transport modeling
• Background in aqueous geochemistry, isotopes, and environmental geochemistry
• Ability to discern what is important, to observe important details, to integrate details into a global understanding, and to communicate that information
• Good organizational skills
• Strong self-initiation

Additional knowledge and skills that would be desirable include:

• Pacific Northwest geology (esp. Quaternary processes and CRBG)
• Groundwater resource development and management
• Environmental sampling techniques
• Western water law and environmental regulations
