Use of Geophysical Data to Estimate Geohydrologic Parameters

Presentation given at ModelCare 2002, Prague, Czech Reoublic, June 2002

Inversion of a model of the DNAPL spill at Borden indictaed some error that could not be identified as model error or GPR error. (abstract of paper under review) The following controlled experiment is underway to differentiate the sources of error.

Sand fill is carefully
placed to control stratigraphy

Dyed DNAPL is introduced
and monitored with high frequency

Ground Pentrating Radar

Cores are extracted to
confirm the GPR measurements
